Since his first public performance in 1998, violinist, pianist, and vocalist Johann Acuña has shared his music with audiences ranging from small church settings to grand symphony halls. Performing concerts in California, Colorado, Illinois, New York (Carnegie Hall), Texas, as well as in Austria, Italy, Mexico, and Ukraine, he devotes his talents to glorifying God and sharing His love.
After heading to Baylor University in 2005 to study violin with professors Bruce Berg and Eka Gogichashvili, Johann has served as concertmaster and principal for the Baylor Symphony Orchestra and has performed with the San Angelo, Temple, and Waco Symphony orchestras. He received a Bachelor of Music Degree from Baylor University in 2009.
Johann continues to perform concerts and appear in conferences all over the nation, and has appeared with prominent Christian artists including Greg Buchanan, Scot R. Cameron, Cynthia Clawson, Steve Green, Keron Jackson, Dino Kartsonakis, Kurt Kaiser, Joseph Martin, and Rodrigo Rodriguez. Johann is dedicated to excellence in music, blending his love for classical, contemporary, traditional, and gospel music.
Johann currently serves as the Associate Minister of Worship & Arts at Sugar Land Baptist church in Sugar Land, TX.
